She has a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Creative Writing emphasis and a Master of Arts in Organizational Communication. She is an active member of First United Methodist Church where she sings in the choir and plays bells. She has also completed Disciple Bible Study. She continues to serve on church committees where needed and is an active member of her son's Parent Teacher Organization. One of her absolute favorite pastimes is planning birthday and holiday celebrations for family and friends. Our Vision We Believe.... We believe in God
the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ
his only son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of
the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died
and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose from the
dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the
Father Almighty. From thence he will come to judge the living and the
dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian* church, the
communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the
body, and the life everlasting. How
Did We Begin? Dissatisfied with the options for Sunday School curriculum available today and concerned that today’s mainline curriculum avoids teaching the Bible stories they grew up with, the two decided to create curriculum that is easy to implement and that returns to the Bible and its stories. Brenda and Mary chose to begin with the Spirit Sparkler pre-school Sunday School curriculum, and are in the process of expanding the product to all elementary age groups. The new lines, Blazing Buddies (primary elementary) and Glow Getters (intermediate elementary) will be ready for purchase summer of 2007. |
